A slow warm up results in a hard fought loss
By Isobel Lyall
The Dream Veterans didn't live up to their name with less veterans and more young blood then expected leading to an excellent battle between the teams. The Dream team came out aggressive from the first whistle catching the Tornados off guard and earning themselves a goal, despite the desperate efforts of Simon Read putting his body on the line.
For the second part of the first half the Tornados played a better game, changing up their structure, putting together fast passes and using quick runs. This strategy saw Zhen Wei score an amazing goal from a determined solo effort against their sweeper.
The fact they had only scored from set pieces and that Tornados had scored from open play gave the lads some hope of pulling back to level for a second time, after another short corner was scored against Tornados. However it wasn't to be and the Dreams finally put in a final 3rd goal sealing the game as a 3-0 loss.
