I am not sure if I dare say it but, we seem to be coming out of the haze. All games and practices went ahead last week only Monday fitness was affected.
The 1st XI men lost both their matches this week to the top two teams SCC and SRC; losing 4-2 and 6-nil respectively, despite the score they were both good games and our team played well. The 3rd XI men lost heavily to Tannebilles who had a squad of 19 to our 11. The ladies 1st XI lost 3-nil to SCC. another great game against a strong 'scoring' team. Min Tze the GK deservedly got man of the match as did Adi for the mens 1st XI game vs SCC.
We had poor availability again this week due to - school holidays, wedding celebrations and boxing prepartions, which were known and planned for. However there were several last minute pull outs(again) leaving the teams playing with a squad of 11 and some carrying injuries. In the heat and humidity of Singapore that is tough. So, BE KIND TO YOUR TEAM MATES AND TURN UP and make sure your Teamsnap is updated and not changed at the last minute!
Sadly we said good bye to Pete Hill who is off to Malaysia but hopefully will come back and see us soon. However as is the way with Singapore life we are saying hello to more new members: Nanda, Jill and Sarah have joined the ladies and Sean and Scot the men's section.

We have decided that training will be called off if haze levels are at 150+ based on the local to Delta/ Evan Road PSI 1 hr reading. We will send a message via Facebook an hour before the start to confirm cancellation.
If any suffer from respiratory problems then you are advised not to train when levels are 100.
Matches are called off by the SHF and usually they make the decision by 12 noon on the day of the matches. Captains will be advised of the cancellation by text.
Have a good week!
